Report on 80th Independence Day Celebration – 15th August 2026

The Independence Day celebration was held with great enthusiasm and patriotic spirit in the esteemed presence of Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Bhanu Pratap Singh and the Chief Guest, Colonel Praveen Bandi, Director, ARO Ayodhya. The programme was graced by several distinguished guests, including Veer Nari Pratima Singh, wife of Shaheed Havildar Hanuman Prasad Singh, recipient of the Shaurya Chakra, Unit 27 Rajput Battalion; Naik Bhagwati Singh, Unit 15 Rajput Battalion; Subedar Kapil Dev Singh, Unit 2 Rajput Battalion; and Subedar Dharam Shikshak Shri Prakash Pathak, Jaat Regiment, along with university dignitaries, faculty members, staff and students. The programme commenced at 9:00 AM with the Flag Hoisting Ceremony, followed by the National Anthem in the presence of all dignitaries, faculty members and students. The ceremony reflected a deep sense of national pride, unity and respect for the nation. Following the flag hoisting, the dignitaries participated in the ceremonial lamp lighting, marking the formal commencement of the programme. Dr. Rekha Pant formally introduced the event and extended a warm welcome to all the dignitaries and members of the gathering. The Chief Guest, Colonel Praveen Bandi, was subsequently felicitated as a mark of honour and respect.
