National Science Day Celebration 2026 at Maharishi School of Sciences
The Maharishi School of Sciences organized the National Science Day Celebration on 28 February 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Seminar Hall. The event was conducted with the objective of promoting scientific temper and innovation for national development while commemorating the discovery of the Raman Effect by Sir C. V. Raman.
The program began with the warm welcome of the guest speaker, Professor Shailendra Kumar from the Department of Microbiology, Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Avadh University. During his insightful lecture, he highlighted the importance of National Science Day and discussed recent advancements in science and technology. He also motivated students to adopt a scientific approach and actively participate in research and innovation activities.
The celebration was graced by the presence of Dean Academics Dr. Reeta Jaiswal, faculty members of the Maharishi School of Sciences, and other academic staff, who encouraged students to take part in academic and co-curricular activities enthusiastically.
A major attraction of the event was the Science Quiz Competition organized for students. Four groups—Group A, Group B, Group C, and Group D—participated actively in the competition. The quiz included questions related to general science, current scientific developments, and basic scientific concepts, creating a healthy competitive environment among students.
Group B secured the first position in the competition and was appreciated for its excellent performance. The event concluded successfully with enthusiastic participation from both students and faculty members. The program inspired students to recognize the importance of science in everyday life and encouraged them to contribute towards scientific innovation and national development.
