Maharishi Mahesh Yogi Ramayan Vishwavidyalaya, Ayodhya celebrated the auspicious festival of Guru Purnima on 29 July 2026 with great devotion and enthusiasm. The programme was organized at the Meditation Hall, MMYRV Ayodhya, from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM, with the participation of faculty members, students, Transcendental Meditation (TM) practitioners, and distinguished dignitaries. The Lucknow and Noida campuses of the Maharishi family also joined the celebration through hybrid mode.
The ceremony began with an introduction highlighting the significance of Guru Purnima and the invaluable role of the Guru in guiding individuals toward knowledge, wisdom, and self-realization. The event continued with Guru Pujan by distinguished guests and participants, expressing gratitude and respect toward the eternal Guru tradition.
A special attraction of the programme was the screening of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi’s recorded discourse, which inspired attendees with profound insights into higher consciousness and the practice of Transcendental Meditation. The key messages of the discourse were also presented for the understanding and benefit of all participants.
The University honored the dedication of TM practitioners by recognizing their achievements and presenting awards to 76 students who successfully completed the Transcendental Meditation Sidhi Flying Block. The top three regular group meditation practitioners from teaching, non-teaching, and supporting staff categories across the three campuses were also awarded for their commitment and contribution.
