The 12th International Day of Yoga was celebrated on 21 June 2026 at Maharishi Mahesh Yogi Ramayan Vishwavidyalaya, Ayodhya, from 6:00 AM to 8:00 AM, under the global theme "Yoga for Healthy Ageing." The objective of the programme was to promote awareness about the importance of Yoga in maintaining physical health, mental well-being, emotional balance, and overall quality of life, encouraging students, faculty members, and staff to adopt Yoga as an integral part of their daily lives.
The programme commenced with the gathering of participants, followed by an introductory address highlighting the significance of International Day of Yoga and the relevance of this year's theme. Participants were informed about the holistic benefits of Yoga, including improved flexibility, strength, concentration, stress management, emotional stability, and overall well-being. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from faculty members, students, office staff, and NSS volunteers, reflecting the University's commitment to promoting health, wellness, and self-discipline.
